Gerard Butler is a consumate actor full of vast energy and humour. Jen Anniston is a beautiful and clever actress so the two brought off an extremely charismatic charming movie. Will be watching out for How To Train Your Dragon next.

Loved it. 5 stars.

I'm a Gerard Butler fan but I normally don't go to romantic comedies(he doesn't do those well), but this had just enough action in it to get me interested. Surisingly I really liked it, if you have a goofy sense of humor you should like it. As for the idiot that says Gerard curls his mouth to cut down on his accent.....if you know anything about Gerard, you know that's not the case. And in my theatre everyone was laughing so I guess he was just in a theatre with people who had no sense of humor at all. I'm a die hard action movie buff, and I HATE chick flicks, but this definately was one romantic comedy I'll add to my DVD collection.

5 out of 5 stars Another great piece of art of New York's lifestyle.   March 20, 2010

The fifth movie about NYPD, which I saw in a few months span. The new generation of artists; Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler, took away the monotony of watching the Travolta, Williams Robinsons, and Bruce Willis. At least, with the new faces, you could enjoy the surprise of telling a totally new narrative of events, places, people, and social events. The New York's diverse culture enriched the movie in every way you look at it. The drugs, gambling, smoking, tattoos, obesity, and rugged and troubled way of life and individuals brought all sorts of annoying and bizarre people that made the movie a condensed piece of reality.

Aside from the movie narrative, the background of Queens, Atlantic City, and in-between documents the modern way of life of New York and its spill over Atlantic City. Between the NYPD, the Court, the field of crime, and major attraction of Atlantic City, the movie narrative succeeded in putting the pieces of a struggling professional couple to stay married amidst the madness and fast pace of New York.

The News crime reporter who was married to a police officer was trying to get by with her demanding job, new boy friend, and complying with strict court procedure. The conflict between the three made her run afoul with the law. Her ex-husband, who also lost his job with NYPD was lucky enough to land on a job to hunt his ex-wife and bring her to custody. The two divorced couple would soon rediscover the hidden and untold secrets of their broken love. During the struggle of restraining his ex-wife and bringing her to Queen's Police, the ex-husband was exposed to the limits of a human being to stand humiliation and despair. With the leads from outsiders, such as her ex-mother-in-law and other past acquaintances, the two divorced couple were getting closer and closer to unveil their own hidden defenses that made them lose their marriage.

Each working on his own professional survival and trying to secure his and her own living, the two divorced couple were reunited with stronger and more transparent understanding of what made them love in the first place.

The movie moved along quickly with humor and held my attenton. I thought the chemistry between Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston added to the fun of the movie. I don't remember seeing Jennifer doing action scenes as she did in this movie. Gerry always delivers his roles and did a great job as Milo. I'd go see it again in a heartbeat.
